Prince Harry is turning his personal pain into a paycheck!
And the reported price tag on his emotional MasterClass about grief and depression is raising eyebrows! Heck, we wouldn’t hate to land a payday like this — just saying!

According to reports, the Duke of Sussex reportedly pocketed $100,000 for his appearance in a MasterClass session titled “Redefining Grief: Building Resilience Through Loss.”
Both Page Six and DailyMail.com reported on Friday that Harry received that six-figure payment, which, uh, cha-ching! That’s a whole lot of money to talk about some seriously heavy stuff!
Harry co-instructed the session with neuroscientist Dr. Mary-Frances O’Connor, opening up about the devastating loss of his mother, Princess Diana, who died in a Paris car crash in August 1997. Harry was just 12 years old at the time.
The Duke got deeply personal, revealing that he sometimes speaks to a portrait of Diana and feels connected to her through her smile. He also discussed years of emotional numbness and the guilt he experienced when he considered allowing himself to be happy again.
Harry explained that realizing his mother would want him to find happiness again became a major turning point in his life. He also described struggling with depression and feeling useless after he and Meghan Markle stepped back from their senior royal roles in 2020.
One source defending the pricy project and its high payout for the prince told the DM:
“I’d encourage everyone to watch it before casting any judgment.”
The source also argued that Harry shouldn’t face prolonged criticism for “speaking from the heart.”
Fair enough! Grief is deeply personal, and there’s no question that losing a parent at such a young age can leave lasting emotional scars.

But here’s where the money comes in! The Hollywood Reporter has previously reported that MasterClass instructors can receive at least $100,000 upfront, plus 30 percent of subscription revenue generated by their courses. So, is Harry’s reported six-figure payday just business as usual for the platform, or will critics question whether personal pain and premium-priced content make an awkward combination?
Either way, Harry has turned a deeply personal subject into a paid teaching opportunity. And with his experiences, royal drama, and candid revelations, there’s certainly plenty here for viewers to unpack.
