Easy come, easy go.
Warner Bros., after seeing the backlash on the Internet from fans against the studio, has decided to drop Mel Gibson from the roster of Hangover II.
We’re sure there were a lot of people at the studio who thought this kind of stunt casting would bring in the crowds. Little did they know that the public would turn on them in outrage as soon as the news broke. Funny though, it took the masses to finally convince execs to drop Mel, while one of their own stars was adamantly against the stunt as well
Source infer from a recent interview that Zach Galifianakis was not thrilled at the prospect of working with Mel. He had told one reporter, without pointing fingers:
“A movie you’re acting in, you don’t have a lot of control; you just show up and vomit your lines out. I’m not the boss. I’m in deep protest right now about a movie I’m working on, up in arms about something. But I can’t get the guys to [listen]. … I’m not making any leeway.”
The world was on your side on this one, Zach! Ask and somehow, you will receive.
Looks like no comeback for you, Mel. Now what?
