50 Cent Faces Lawsuit Over Before I Self Destruct

Last year, 50 Cent released a rather popular album – movie combo called Before I Self Destruct.

This year, he is being sued for allegedly ripping off the concept of both from a book by another author!

Whoops!

Fiddy has been slapped with a lawsuit from novelist Shadrach Winstead. He claims that rapper stole the plot from his book, The Preacher’s Son-But The Streets Turned Me Into A Gangster, to write songs for the Destruct album and the story for the partnering movie. Shadrach goes as far as saying that passages from his book are “identical” to some lyrics and lines from the movie.

Uh-oh! That could prove to be pretty strong evidence!

Time to lawyer up, Fiddy!
