Daphne Joy is speaking out after reports surfaced about an alleged sexually explicit video that leaked and is said to feature her, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and another man.
The model, 39, shared a lengthy statement on social media Monday before later deleting it, according to multiple outlets. In the emotional post, Joy reflected on a past relationship and described what she says was a deeply painful chapter of her life.

In her since-deleted Instagram statement, per The Shade Room and others, Joy wrote in part:
“Everybody plays the fool sometime, and I have been the biggest fool. I just wanted my man at the time to be happy and satisfied … I wanted to fulfill all his desires … even if that meant breaking my own boundaries. I deeply loved him … and I believed he loved me too.”
Joy went on to describe how her perspective on the relationship has changed over time:
“It’s still so painful for me to process the harsh reality and truth of that relationship, but as time passes and in my quiet moments, I realize that it was far from love.”
The most serious claims in her statement centered on the alleged recording itself, which was reported on by TSR, Us Weekly, and other outlets on Monday.
Regarding that purported sex tape, Joy alleged that she never consented to being filmed and claimed she was later subjected to blackmail:
“I was blackmailed by the person in the video and was threatened that if I didn’t give him the lump sum of money that they would leak it on the web. l almost gave in to this demand, and once I didn’t, this person eventually sold this tape to a giant media outlet.”
According to Joy, learning that a media company had allegedly obtained the recording caused her to faint.
She said the outlet ultimately declined to release it after determining there were significant concerns surrounding the circumstances of the video:
“Once the media company understood the tape they purchased was revenge porn and an extortion scheme, they backed off from broadcasting it. I know they are probably reading this, and I want to say thank you for doing the right thing … even though years later … it’s come back to haunt me again.”
Wow.
The model also described revisiting the situation as emotionally devastating, characterizing it as a form of abuse and saying it remains difficult to process:
“I knew the inner turmoil and pressures I felt in those moments. I was not and was never in my right mind throughout the entirety of that relationship. Seeing myself so lost is excruciating. I just want to hold that girl in that room and get her out of there … and tell her that wasn’t love and she didn’t need to do this for love. My heart is breaking as I type this.”
She concluded her statement on a note of healing and self-reflection, writing about rebuilding her confidence and learning to trust herself again after what she described as a traumatic experience:
“I wish so many things were different, but I can’t take back the hands of time … l can only continue to move forward and slowly learn to love and trust myself again … I want to love and protect myself so much that I’ll never come across such a harmful environment again … This is the first time that I have ever felt a part of my own body and that my body belongs to me … I am precious, I am special, I am worthy …. this I promise to hold true in my heart for the woman I am becoming and for the woman I once lost.”
As Perezcious readers will no doubt recall, Joy has been linked to previous headlines involving Combs.
In 2024, she was identified in a lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones that included allegations regarding payments from Combs. Joy strongly denied the claims at the time and accused critics of attempting to damage her reputation.
As for Combs, he is currently serving a federal prison sentence stemming from a separate criminal case relating to sex trafficking and other serious acts, and has remained the subject of ongoing public attention throughout that entire ordeal and afterwards.
