Russell Brand Avoids Charges In Paparazzi Incident

Boy was smart. He explained himself to the judge directly.

On Wednesday, two days before his hearing was scheduled to discuss last September’s scuffle with a photog, Russell Brand paid a visit to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office to speak his case. When the meeting was through, the judge declared the case closed and that no charges would be filed against Russell. A spokesperson for the City Attorney’s office confirmed the news, saying:

“Mr. Brand came in with his attorney, and met with our officials. No further action is going to be taken in the matter.”

We’re glad he can put this whole incident behind him. Be wary though, bb. There might be some backlash from other photogs who aren’t so happy you got off so easy.
