Reese Was Told Never To Sing

So, you know a few years ago when Reese Witherspoon was invited to the Oscars and she was awarded the prize for Best Actress for her role as June Carter in Walk The Line?

Well, that almost didn’t happen.

In a new interview, Reese revealed that she was once advised by a “professional” never to sing on film. According to this person who was obviously tone deaf, she just wasn’t good enough to pull off a musical role. Reese explained:

“I went to all these camps in the Catskills and I had to sing and dance and act and I remember getting through to the singing coaching session at the end and I had my evaluation and they said, ‘Whatever you do, don’t sing’…Thank God I didn’t listen, but it was hard to get over that mental block. You have to be careful what you say to people.”

Uh, yeah! For real! Just imagine how different her career would have been had she listened to whoever this person was?!

We’re very glad you listened to your instincts, BB, instead of the negativity! Worked out well for everyone, we think!
