Finally, we can put this to rest!
Yesterday, FOX held a HIGHlarious TCA event called The Funny Men and Women of Twentieth Century Fox Television, in which a panel of the funniest ladies and gents on television got together to talk about the new season.
When it got to be time for the ladies to speak, Jane Lynch was spotted taking a seat right next to Sofia Vergara and the murmurs began. You’ll recall that a few weeks ago, Sofia’s Modern Family costar, Ed O’Neil was misquoted in saying that he thought Sophia should have won last year’s Emmy instead of Jane. As the opportunity so boldly presented itself, one of the first questions out of the gate was to Jane, asking her if she had to say anything about comments. She responded:
“I love Ed. That was you guys, not us.”
To which Sophia then added: “But he prefers me.”
After a good laugh about that, the subject was dropped and hopefully, for good!
At least, until they announce next season’s Emmys and their both nominated again. Then, we’re sure some reporter with dredge this up again!
