Not too long ago, we let you in on the feverish, fanciful dream of one Anne Hathaway: to make a guest appearance on Glee. Mind you, right now that’s everyone’s dream, from the worst off struggling actor to the biggest, A-List celebs. But Anne had thought about the opportunity so much that she actually came up with her own character to play in the Glee-verse.
So, sometime after cocktail hour at the Golden Globes last night, Anne set up booby traps around Ryan Murphy’s chair and waited for her moment. Once she had him caught up in a fishing net, she threatened to dose his swanky suit in red wine and poke him with Chris Colfer’s award until he agreed to put her on the show in the role that she concocted herself.
And guess what? He agreed! (Except she didn’t really have to do any of that. She’s freakin’ Anne Hathaway! Why wouldn’t they want her on the show?!)
At one of the MANY after parties of last night’s awards, Ryan revealed to sources that Anne approached him during the show and they two made final arrangements to make the magic happen. He revealed:
“We just finalized a deal with Anne tonight to come onto the show. She’s already created [her role]. She wants to play the lesbian aunt of Chris Colfer. Because everyone needs a lesbian aunt.”
Fantastic! Another outstanding Hollywood deal!
Now, excuse us – we need to go off and create our own Glee character, so the next time we see Ryan, we can pitch it to him and get a guest spot! (We’ll also rent a fishing net, just in case!)
