Why are we not surprised!
Turns out, all the hullaballoo about Lindsay Lohan appearing on The Late Show With David Letterman tonight was drummed up by her father, Michael Lohan!
After the show issued a retraction this morning, apologizing for the confusion over Lindsay’s rumored appearance, Michael ran came forward to explain that he was the one who contacted Letterman’s producers about the gig after the show cracked-wise on LiLo during last Friday’s Top 10 list.
Michael says Lindsay “knew full well” about the booking. They supposedly discussed the logistics of doing the segment via satellite and everything. But then, Lindsay’s reps stepped in and shut the whole thing down, without offering Papa Lohan any explanation. Naturally, Mike is pissed, telling sources:
“Anything positive that I bring into her life … [her people] try to nix it.”
Oh, come off it! First of all, we doubt very much that LiLo would have wanted to do the show. If you hadn’t noticed, she’s a little busy these days dealing with a felony charge and possible jail time. Second of all, don’t even begin to act like you did this for any other reason than to either take the credit for its success or use it as a catalyst to talk to the press some more.
What happened to your promise??? We were holding you to that!!!
