Bret McKenzie Heads To The Shire, Joins Cast Of The Hobbit

Lucky fella!

Sources report that Bret McKenzie, best known for his role on Flight of the Conchords, has joined the cast of The Hobbit.

Now, if you aren’t a rabid fan, this means very little to you…but if you are, then you know exactly what we mean when we say, “Figwit’s in the house, bitches!!!”

Okay, we take that back. We aren’t exactly sure what role Bret is slated to play, but considering the fan following he accumulated after his brief appearances in both Fellowship of the Ring and The Return of the King as an elf extra, we imagine Peter Jackson’s going to have him reprise his role as a nod to his diehard fans.

He’s just that kind of a guy.

Thoughts?
