It's Star Wars Day! Holiday Takes Over Twitter

It’s that time of the year again, and we’re NOT talking about Mother’s Day.

While we certainly love our mothers and will look forward to celebrating with them over the weekend, TODAY our holiday of choice is Star Wars Day!

Clearly we’re not alone, because if you look at the trending topics on Twitter, you’ll notice they’re completely dominated by the space saga.

Currently, the top Star Wars-themed Twitter trends are as follows:

Droid Charge, #maythe4thbewithyou, #starwarsday, and Darth Vader

Will Mother’s Day cause this much of a stir on Twitter? We’ll keep an eye out to see if #mothersday, #ilovemymom, or #iexistbecauseofyou start trending on Sunday. Ha!

How will U celebrate Star Wars Day? How about Mother’s Day?
