Sean Parker Feels Stigmatized

Sean Parker Sad Face

Sean Parker, who has a pretty big hand in Facebook and was played by Justin Timberlake in the Social Network, has been feeling the stigma that people pair with him from how he was portrayed.

He’s supposedly known for his parties and the way he treats other people in a rather cutthroat manner, but Sean feels like everyone has an expectation of him because of it — one that isn’t really him:

“There’s a certain pressure from the press and even from the people I meet to live up to that reputation that’s been created by the film. Even if I set out to throw a really small party, there’s expectations about what it’s going to be like. People assume it’s going to be a wild, crazy thing.”

He takes a pretty interesting stance on personal drug use as well, calling it a victimless crime that as long as you aren’t hurting yourself and others that people should just leave you alone about it:

“It is an individual decision that doesn’t hurt others, and it’s a victimless crime as long as you’re not hurting yourself. You end up with collateral [reputation] damage because it is stigmatized.

“I take less of an issue with the depiction of drug use than I do with . . . [the depiction of my] behavior to other people.”

We can see all that, yeah. But he also has over a billion dollars so maybe he shouldn’t let it bother him so much??

Just sayin’!
