Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been taken away by an ambulance in an apparent suicide attempt. He’s believed to have taken an overdose of pills.
Paramedics had to call the police when they found him slumped over on the floor and refusing treatment for half an hour:
“This is very sad. It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life.”
“Officers were called by London Ambulance Service following reports of a man refusing treatment. The man was taken to hospital.”
Jonathan has been battling alcohol for a long time, having been to rehab five times. So he’s had his share of troubles.
This is so sad, and so unfortunate. We hope he has the strength and courage to turn things around, and that he has those he can look to to help him through this troubled time. Suicide is never the answer, and it has an effect on everyone around you.
