Not a great look here for Jonathan Rhys Meyers…
The actor was detained by police on Sunday evening after he allegedly got into an altercation with his wife on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles.

Meyers, who was on the plane with his wife Mara (pictured above) and their one-year-old son, had reportedly been drinking when things started to turn bad. It all began when the actor got into some type of verbal altercation with his wife, in front of a number of other passengers.
According to TMZ, the tirade was “laced with profanities,” and it upset a great number of other passengers.
Jonathan then allegedly got up and walked to the bathroom as he smoked an e-cigarette — which is a big no-no on airplanes. A flight attendant told him to put away the e-cig, and he apparently did so with little more fanfare.
Regardless, when the plane landed at LAX, cops were already on the tarmac surrounding it, and they detained Meyers and took him in for questioning.
The argument with his wife itself didn’t constitute a crime, of course, and the FBI ultimately decided against pursuing anything regarding the e-cigarette on the plane, and so, Meyers was eventually released.

Regardless, this is not a good thing to be doing on a cross-country flight… just sayin’…
Then again, Meyers has a long history of substance abuse issues, and has already been to rehab several times, so he’s no stranger to the poor decisions that sometimes come with allegedly being drunk.
