Why don’t you tell the president how you REALLY feel about him???
During today’s episode of Morning Joe (above), MSNBC senior analyst Mark Halperin called President Barack Obama “a dick,” and he’s gotten some serious backlash for it!
If this were middle school, Mark might have been given a couple of demerits, but because he was on live TV on a major network, he’s been suspended indefinitely.
Here’s a statement that MSNBC released about Mark’s comment:
“Mark Halperin’s comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We apologize to the President, The White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst.”
Here’s what Halperin had to say about his “dick” comment:
“Joking aside, this is not a pro forma apology, it’s an absolute apology. Heartfelt to the president and to the viewers…I made a mistake and I’m sorry and I shouldn’t have said it.”
“I completely agree with everything in MSNBC├óΓé¼Γäós statement about my remark. I believe that the step they are taking in response is totally appropriate. Again, I want to offer a heartfelt and profound apology to the President, to my MSNBC colleagues, and to the viewers. My remark was unacceptable, and I deeply regret it.”
Maybe Obama should just call Halperin a “farthead” and let them call it even. LOLz.
