Because there seems to be literally nothing that James Franco cannot do, the actor recently directed Sal, a film based on ’50s icon Sal Mineo, over the course nine days in Los Angeles, and photos from the project, which will reportedly focus on the last days of the late, gay actor’s life in 1976, have been released!

We definitely have to once again commend James for not being afraid to tackle this subject matter in so many of his projects, and to do so with so much accuracy and conviction!
Definitely will be worth checking out upon its release! Can’t wait!
