Despite a variety of rumors, that have all been running rampant since it was announced that the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards would be paying tribute to Britney Spears, Selena Gomez has come forward to deny that she will be taking part in the performance, and will instead only be presenting!
She explains:
“I will be presenting, but I won’t be performing. That’s awesome [that people think that], but no.”
In the immortal words of Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls, “Boo! You whore!”
Lamezies!
Oh well – we’d rather that they just collaborate on something TOGETHER at some point in the near future!
That would be fire!
