Apparently we still live in an age when witch hunts are acceptable.
Shorter University, a privately owned Christian Baptist College in Georgia, is reportedly mandating that its 200 employees sign a “personal lifestyle pledge,” which means that they reject homosexuality, premarital sex, and adultery!
According to President Don Dowless, the goal of this disgusting act of hate “is not to offend people,” but to “declare who we are.”
Oh, really? And somehow by declaring who you are, you have single out and crucify those who are different?
Naturally, not all students and employees are pleased with the change in policy, and one staffer anonymous says:
“We now will live in fear that someone who doesn’t like us personally or someone who has had a bad day will report that we’ve been drinking or that we are suspected of being gay.”
Exactly! Beyond the obvious reasons that this is a disgusting act of bigotry and discrimination, what happens when disgruntled employees start using it as ammunition against co-workers?!
Nothing good can come from this!
Such an unbelievable shame that this is what education is about for some. Ugh.
