Most people know Ryan Gosling best as that hunky, swoon worthy guy in The Notebook. (Ladies! Don’t act like it isn’t the truth!)
But according to Ryan, the only reason he go that role to begin was because of his utter lack of sex appeal.
Ryan explained to British magazine Company that when he was first up for the role opposite Rachel McAdams, director Nick Cassavetes liked him because he thought Ryan “lacked conventional sex appeal.”
Uh, yeah! He has an over abundance of it, DUH!
Regardless of what we say, seems Ryan is under the impression that it was his stunnilgy awful looks that got him the part that made his career. He explains:
“The director, Nick Cassavetes, called me to meet him at his house. When I got there, he was standing in his back yard, and he looked at me and said, ‘I want you to play this role because you’re not like the other young actors out there in Hollywood. You’re not handsome, you’re not cool, you’re just a regular guy who looks a bit nuts.'”
Whatever!
He is so handsome, he is way cool and there is nothing regular about this guy! If being nutty means he’s smart, personable and talented, than Hollywood could stand to have a few more nut-jobs running around.
