Marky Mark continues to be an uber busy guy. When he isn’t in a movie, he is making one. When he isn’t making one, he’s in one. Sometimes, he’s in a movie that he is making, while also producing a hit TV show and raising a bunch of kids.
Yeah, he’s busy … so perhaps this news will ease his mind a bit.
One of the pet projects that has really piqued Mark’s attention is Cocaine Cowboys, a feature film based on the 2006 documentary directed by Billy Corben. It’s been on his radar for awhile, and on “Sway in the Morning” Sirius radio show this morning, he announced that plans are finally coming together to make it happen.
But do you know what takes a long time? Casting! Ugh! Finding people to play all those parts – EXHAUSTING! Who has time for all that?! Lucky for Mark, one part could be filled pretty quickly if he’s down with the idea. Turns out, Jennifer Lopez is also really interested in the movie and she’s been “chasing” Mark for awhile to play a pivital role – infamous “godmother” Griselda Blanco. Mark told Sway:
“It’s one of those characters that will go down in history. Jennifer Lopez is chasing that [role] like crazy. It’s the role ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ if I could play Griselda, I would. That’s Academy Award [bait] right there.”
Um, why can’t you? What, is that not that kind of film? Will Eddie Murphy also not be in the film playing the rest of the crime family characters? No? Damn!
Look, we love J.Lo, and right now, she is hot as hell. Mark should give her a shot. Forget “Maid In Manhattan” Jen and focus on “Enough” Jennifer. She was pretty damn kick ass. She could handle this role!
