Facebook is becoming more and more like Twitter every day, isn’t it?
In its second big move of the week, Facebook has announced that it will start allowing “prominent public figures” to verify their accounts AND display nicknames if they want.
Users with verified accounts will be more prominently placed in the “People To Subscribe” suggestions area on the site.
We’re hearing that users won’t be able to verify their profiles on their own, though – they’ll have to be chosen. So basically…if UR given the option to verify…it means UR a pret-ty big deal. People know U. Ha!
