Sacha Baron Cohen‘s dictator dreams have been dashed!
As reported earlier, the actor wanted to come to this year’s Oscars, dressed as his zany character from The Dictator. Sacha’s master plan was to dress up as General Aladeen before the ceremony and then change into a tuxedo before the real show business gets started.
Unfortunately, the AMPAS is having none of that!
While his tickets have not been officially revoked, the Academy won’t allow Cohen at the event unless he promises to be good.
Sacha is an Academy member and has been invited due to his work with Hugo.
While his General Aladeen character would be HIGHlarious, we don’t think he’ll be showing up on the red carpet.
Sad. This could have been a VERY entertaining red carpet!
