Looks like this reboot is sticking with the Brits so far!
As we’ve reported, NBC is busy remaking the ’60s series of The Munsters, now called Mockingbird Lane, with Bryan Fuller serving as the writer, Bryan Singer in the director’s seat, and Eddie Izzard in the role of the blood-sucking, shape-shifting Grandpa!
Although casting was delayed for a bit, it now seems that the rest of the family is filling out, as British actress Charity Wakefield has been cast as “plain” cousin Marilyn, who, unlike her vampire aunt, Frankenstein uncle, and werewolf cousin, is relatively normal-looking and acting – despite being nearly devoured by her own mother as an infant!
Of course, she finds NOTHING unusual about her family, and thinks that she is unusual one!
Ha! It will be VERY interesting to see how this sitcom is adapted to suit modern day audiences!
But with the talent being accrued behind the scenes and in front of the camera, this might actually have a shot!
What do U think?? Will U be checking out Mockingbird Lane??!
