Yes, Dame Judi Dench will be leaving the franchise after playing the head of the Foreign Intelligence wing of Her Majesty’s Secret Service in every film since 1995’s GoldenEye.
We didn’t necessarily assume this was going to happen, but the actress is 77-years-old, so she can’t play M forever.
Sources report that director Sam Mendes “filmed M’s death scene” already, so now we’re left wondering who will take over the role in the NEXT inevitable sequel.
