Wyclef Records A Tribute To Trayvon Martin

Wyclef Records A Tribute To Trayvon Martin

No matter what your stance on the Trayvon Martin shooting case, a 17 year old boy is no longer with us and it’s such a tragic matter of a life cut short.
One person who’s speaking out about it all is musician Wyclef, who’s usually pretty vocal about controversial situations like this.
The hip hop/reggae artist took to his Twitter today to premiere a song he dedicated to Trayvon and “every 17 year old around the entire globe,” called Justice (If You’re 17).
In the song, Wyclef sings:

“He could’ve been the next President, he could’ve been the next Steve Jobs…neighborhood watcher, if you’re 17 with a hoodie on, watch out for the neighborhood watcher…”

Take a listen for yourself (above).
Reminds us a bit of Kelly Rowland‘s song Stole…such a powerful message.
