Julianne Moore Offered Crazyass Mom Role In Carrie Remake

Good move MGM!!
At first we thought this whole “remaking Carrie” idea was not the studio’s best, but seeing Julianne Moore cast in this part will make the WHOLE movie worth it.
The ravishing redhead has OFFICIALLY been offered the part of crAAzy Carrie’s even more batshiz religious fanatic momma, Margaret White.
Moore is no stranger to playing in the conservative background. Carrie’s mom makes Julianne’s last role, Sarah Palin, look like a hippy.
It’s a meaty role: Piper Laurie, who played the part in the 1976 original, get a Oscar nomination for it.
At one point Jodie Foster was up for the part, but clearly there is something about Julie that stole the executives‘ hearts. (Do studio exces have hearts?)
