The Pentagon Is Planning A LGBT Pride Event This Month!

LGBT pride is sweeping the country! Next stop?
The Pentagon!
In a statement issued on Thursday, a spokesperson revealed the Department of Defense is holding its very FIRST gay pride event EVER later this month!
Yayyyyy!
While speaking on behalf of Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta, Navy Capt. John Kirby told sources:

“Now that we’ve repealed ‘don’t ask, don’t tell,’ he feels it’s important to find a way this month to recognize the service and professionalism of gay and lesbian troops.”

Change is HERE, folks! And we expect it to keep on coming too.
We couldn’t be more thrilled that the government is finally honoring a group of minorities that, up until last year, were unable to disclose their sexuality. Who knows what will be next as the LGBT community and their supporters continue to advocate for equality, but it can only get better from here.
