Looks like someone’s in some big trouble with the government!
Earlier this month, we reported how Lauryn Hill was in deep shiz with the IRS for tax evasion!
Well now, Hill has just pleaded guilty to tax evasion charges in federal court…after failing to file THREE years worth of taxes on her $1.8 million income!!
The hip-hop songstress will be sentenced in late November and could be facing up to THREE years behind bars!
Not only that, but she could have to pay $75k in fines as well!
Lauryn’s attorney is now claiming that she was unfairly targeted because of her celeb status and stated:
“There are many people in society who fail to file their taxes on time who only face civil liability. They chose Ms. Hill in particular because of who she was.”
Not so sure we agree with that one…!
Simple solution??? Pay your taxes in the first place!
Guess we’ll have to wait until November to see what becomes of Mz. Hill!!
