We’ve been waiting SO long for this news, and now that’s it here, it’s better than anything we could have anticipated!
Andrew Stanton, the man behind the Toy Story series, Monsters, Inc., and Wall-E, has been selected by Disney and Pixar to direct the much-anticipated SEQUEL for his possibly best-known work, Finding Nemo!
According to industry insiders, despite the writer/director’s epic flop with his debut live-action feature, John Carter, Andrew was able to present the studio with a concept for the second installment that was EXTREMELY well-received – so much so, in fact, that if all goes well with this, he’ll get another shot at helming live-action!
Unfortunately, no word yet on what kinds of shenanigans our beloved clownfish and forgetful regal tang will get into, but Victoria Krouse has been hired to pen the screenplay, and the finished product is expected to drop in 2016!
AGH! That feels like SUCH a long time from now!
But no matter! We’re just ECSTATIC that it’s finally happening!
We had lost all hope entirely that it would ever get off the ground!
