Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were missing one prominent guest at their Madison Square Garden over the weekend — after he verbally RSVPd!
We know that the superstar couple PACKED the NYC arena with more than 1,000 guests, but one A-lister left an empty seat at the ceremony…
Ryan Seacrest!
The American Idol host revealed on Monday’s installment of his On Air With Ryan Seacrest radio show:
“I RSVP’d to go, and then Disney hired me to do the Fourth of July 250 special on the 3rd and the 4th. So I had to cancel.”
The 51-year-old admitted he felt “kind of torn” about pulling out of the star-studded event — and even weighed trying to attend both the ceremony AND his work commitment:
“Trust me, I went through the minutes. I couldn’t have done both. And the actual wedding was in the afternoon.”
That would have made for an INSANELY busy day!

Overall, Ryan feels “so honored and thrilled to be invited” but noted his hands were ultimately tied and he “had no choice” as “it’s part of [his] job at Disney to do these things.”
But what really sucks is the media personality told Tay Tay and her man IN PERSON he’d be there:
“The irony was, after I RSVP’d to the wedding, I saw them at dinner at a restaurant and we talked about the event.”
He continued:
“[Taylor] was like, ‘Oh, it’s going to be so much fun. We’re gonna have the best time. It’s gonna go late.’ I [was] like, ‘I cannot wait. I’m so excited.’”
Oof!
Even worse, it was his “first time” meeting Travis! Yikes! We wonder if he’ll try and make it up??
Elsewhere in the episode, Ryan patted himself on the back for keeping things under wraps as the world speculated on when and where the fairytale wedding would be held:
“I can keep a secret because I knew what was going on. I was planning to go, and I couldn’t because I was working. You guys are talking about, ‘When’s the wedding?’ ‘There’s rumors of this, it’s going to be in June’ … and I’m just sitting here smiling.”
