Shonda Rhimes, say it ain’t so!!
At the end of last season, the Grey’s Anatomy showrunner warned fans that a few of their favorite characters were getting axed, but she didn’t say anything about them asking to leave the show!
Back in May, we cried our eyes out witnessed Chyler Leigh‘s character (Lexie Grey) leave the series in a dramatic death scene. Apparently that was too much for McSteamy Dr. Mark Sloan to bare!
Eric Dane, who played the love of Lexie’s life, has announced he is leaving us the show as well!
Dane told reporters:
“I am extremely grateful to everyone at Grey├óΓé¼Γäós, ABC and Shondaland for the experience and memories I have had over the course of this run. It has been wonderful to work alongside and learn from a creative force such as Shonda Rhimes.├óΓé¼┬¥
Booo!! Eric is like, 90% of the reason we still Tivo the show!
Alas, if the hot doc thinks it’s time to move on with his career, we won’t protest… as long as he promises his next project involves very little clothing!
