Chick-Fil-A Vice President Of Public Relations Passes Away

Don Perry Chick Fil A VP Of Pubic Relations Passes at 60
Regardless of the national debate raging over Chick-Fil-A’s discriminatory politics, the passing of longtime executive Don Perry is completely tragic!
Don was the Vice President of Public Relations for the fast-food company for almost three decades before dying on Friday. The cause of death is presently believed to be a heart-attack.
With the public outcry against company president Dan Cathy for his remarks against gay marriage and with the cities of Boston, Chicago, and San Fran basically barring new restaurants, it’s obviously been a rough time to be in charge of the restaurant’s public image.
It’s therefore unsurprising when representatives both for and against same-sex marriage claim the stress of Don’s job killed him.
While it makes for a sensational headline, many other factors put one at risk for a heart attacks and there is currently no evidence to suggest Chick-Fil-A’s ongoing PR crisis was the culprit.
It’s disrespectful to the man’s grief-stricken family to imply otherwise and politicize his death.
Rest in peace, Don.
