While the Hunger Games homage was NOT intentional as Alicia Keys claims she’s “had the title of this album in my mind for a long time,” we still adore Alicia’s heated choice.
The soulful crooner recently dished about her forthcoming musical project, posting on her site:
“Girl on Fire is about new beginnings, new perspectives and fresh starts├óΓé¼┬ª stripping away all the bad energy in your life and taking full control of the reigns and how you want to live. There is something really empowering about finding yourself and your own inner strength. On one song, One of the lines I wrote says, ‘I’ll never be perfect, but at least now I├óΓé¼Γäóm brave!'”
All wonderful sentiments! We can’t wait to hear this powerful creation! We are expecting grand piano chimes and slick collaborations a la 50 Cent‘s New Day twerking…
