Does this man not care about his career!?
While talking to the press to promote On The Road at the Toronto International Film Festival, Garrett Hedlund admitted he WAS “approached” to star in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as Finnick Odair.
Fortunately, it sounds like we’re just being dramatic and it’s really no big whoop in the grand scheme of things.
After confirming the studio’s interest in him for the highly sought-after part, he explained he was too busy getting HJ’s from Kristen Stewart to even read the books, saying:
“I was working on this film at that time. We shot the whole film in 23 days and I was really immersed in it. I couldn’t get around [to reading the Hunger Games novels] … Everybody around me is flipping out about the books, and I didn’t really have the time to sit down lately to read any book, not just Hunger Games, But I’ve got a couple [projects] on my plate that I’m looking forward to reading now.”
And we wish him the best of luck with those. Hopefully they’re as much fun to shoot as KStew’s handywork was to receive! LOLz!
Snow White and the Hunstman actor Sam Claflin beat out our personal favorite, Trevor Donovan, for the role and we’re sure it’s going to take his career to the next level.
