She just can’t catch a break, can she?!
Despite getting kicked off the judges panel after one season on The X Factor USA, Nicole Scherzinger was brought in to replace the departing Kelly Rowland on the UK edition of the reality competition for the currently-airing ninth series!
However, as the show’s viewership is down THREE MILLION people since last year, sources close to production have revealed that producers are considering a massive creative overhaul to improve ratings for its next season — and that may mean cutting the former Pussycat Doll and having Mel B take her spot!
Furthermore, insiders explain:
“It maybe airs a little early and people struggle when they might be on holiday or enjoying the sunshine at home. The guest judges just don’t work. It’s great for audiences who are watching live but it doesn’t translate well on the telly. People get confused as the lineup’s always changing from song to song.”
Very true! We could certainly get behind THAT specific change!
But doesn’t seem fair to place the blame for ratings on Nicole, given how the season is only just starting to pick up!
Plus, Nicole wasn’t even ON the UK show last year when the numbers took a dip, and it seems as though the ratings have risen since she’s been added to the panel!
Perhaps now that the UK summer of SPORTS is winding down, the viewership will start to increase!
Fingers crossed, anyway — at least for Nicole’s sake!
What do U think?? Would U prefer Mel B to Nicole on the judges panel??
