Is this the real reason for Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell’s falling out?
There have been rumors of a feud between Posh and Ginger. (FYI, Geri is also on bad terms with Mel B — but that’s a different Spice Girls feud!) It all started when Victoria unfollowed Geri on Instagram in February 2024. Sources had no idea what exactly caused the rift at the time — though they suggested it may have been about the sexting scandal surrounding Geri’s husband, Christian Horner.

The Red Bull Racing chief was accused of sending “sexually suggestive” text messages to a female coworker. Geri stood by his side. But while this all went down, Geri didn’t feel supported publicly by her good friends, the Beckhams. A source said at the time:
“You get different accounts of what is going on from different people but the bottom line is that she seems to be taking Christian’s problems very hard. All of the girls have reached out to her but she’s not felt able to engage with them. She is devastated and it’s possible that she feels that the Beckhams could have given her — and Christian — more public support.”
It’s certainly enough to cause tension between two old friends, but is this really the whole story? Or is there more to it? According to RadarOnline, there is! And it’s a big issue!
A source told the outlet on Thursday that Geri is in talks to make a docuseries all about her rise to fame! Why does Victoria have a problem with it? She has a show about her life coming to Netflix soon — and she apparently doesn’t like that her former bandmate might be trying to steal the spotlight from her with her possible competing project!
The insider claimed the fashion designer feels Geri is “stepping into her territory” and trying to “assert who is the posher” Spice Girl. Oh, Vic thinks the 52-year-old author is coming after her brand? Damn!
“The drama between Geri and Vic is exploding! There’s definitely a fierce rivalry brewing as Geri has been inching into Vic’s territory, sparking all kinds of tension. Vic can’t shake the feeling that Geri is always trying to outshine her, and you can just feel the competitive vibes.”
This is going to be a battle of the shows, isn’t it? Ugh! How awful…
The insider continued:
“But Geri insists she’s on her own journey, flaunting her ambitions and claiming her show will be a cut above Vic’s, all while aiming for that sophisticated image. But Vice sees reality TV as her territory now.”
Don’t expect the ladies to back down on the matter, either! They both really want their shows to go off without a hitch and be a success! RadarOnline‘s sources say Victoria hopes to use her series to start transforming herself into a momager like Kris Jenner and properly introduce the world to her 13-year-old daughter Harper Beckham through the show.
Meanwhile, Geri wants all the good publicity she can get now! She especially needs her own show to do some damage control following Christian’s sexting scandal. The insider said:
“It is doubtful Geri is going to be making a show about the scandal and think it will be more about Geri trying to cement herself as the real Posh.”
Oof…
At this point, say goodbye to a Spice Girls reunion! We have no hope that anything will ever happen with Victoria, Geri, Mel, Melanie C, and Emma Bunton! The band just can’t seem to get along these days! Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Sound OFF in the comments below!
