You gotta admit: J.J. Abrams has loyalty! LOLz!
Apparently J.J. was approached to be involved with the new Star Wars movies… but turned them down because he wanted to stay exclusive to Star Trek!
Oh, and also, he’s too big of a fan of Star Wars to even think about touching it!
J.J. explains:
“There were the very early conversations and I quickly said that because of my loyalty to Star Trek, and also just being a fan, I wouldn’t even want to be involved in the next version of those things. I declined any involvement very early on. I’d rather be in the audience not knowing what was coming, rather than being involved in the minutiae of making them.”
If you have to turn it down, that’s the perfect reason!!
To be honest though, we’d rather someone else do the next in the series. J.J. will be forever linked to Star Trek for us now…
Who do U want to see take the reigns for Star Wars?? We’d be okay with Matthew Vaughan!
