Designer John Varvatos should think about applying for a job at the Psychic Friends Network because he claims to know when people are going to knock his products off.
Oh, really?
While gazing deeply into his crystal ball he reveals:
“We have people that come in our store and spend $20,000, and then we get their credit card and we see that they├óΓé¼Γäóre with another designer or a vertical retail store. Oh, I won├óΓé¼Γäót mention other brands, but when other brands come in and it has their name on the credit card, and they├óΓé¼Γäóre buying $20,000 or $10,000 worth of your stuff, or every bag you make, or twelve shoes and they don├óΓé¼Γäót care what size it is, you know they├óΓé¼Γäóre knocking it off.”
So why doesn’t he stop them?
The swami says “If they stop coming here to buy it and they├óΓé¼Γäóre going to somebody else, you├óΓé¼Γäóre no longer the hot person. When people stop knocking me off, that means we├óΓé¼Γäóre not the relevant people anymore.”
Business is business, right Johnny?
