Flannel lovers will be happy to hear that their favorite print is in for fall, at least according to Y-3 designer Yohji Yamamoto.
At Sunday’s show in New York, the fall collection consisted of lots of black and red flannel, heavy-duty jackets and zipper-lined dresses.
Yamamoto explained his collection was all about a journey:
“Our generation├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥you can call it the beatnik generation or the Vietnam War generation; we have been called hippies├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥our generation has been traveling all around the world, by walking. Now the young people don’t make this kind of travel. I want to catch this spirit [and give it] back to young people.”
