Victoria's Secret Apologizes For Native American-Inspired Outfit

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was almost a huge success until a blog named Native Appropriations noted that the Native American-inspired ensemble worn by Karlie Kloss was extremely disrespectful.
In an entry, the online publication wrote:

“Besides the daily harm of these ongoing microaggressions for Native folks, the sexualization of Native women continues to be an ignored and continuing epidemic├óΓé¼┬ª So Victoria├óΓé¼Γäós Secret, now is the time to apologize. It├óΓé¼Γäós not too late to cut Karlie├óΓé¼Γäós headdressed outfit out and leave it on the editing room floor. This isn├óΓé¼Γäót ‘fun,’ this isn├óΓé¼Γäót a ‘fantasy’ character. This is about our cultures, our bodies, and our lives. Native people demand and deserve far more respect than this.”

Taking those thoughts into consideration, the lingerie brand apologized on Twitter and Facebook, writing:

Karlie also took to her Twitter account and noted that she is also very sorry for wearing the outfit, and is completely fine with VS removing her spot from the program.
Ever since the lingerie giant posted the apology on Facebook and Twitter, it has received over 700 tweets and almost 10,000 likes.
We doubt VS was trying to harm anyone, but we’re just happy they took action before the dramz let loose!!
Do U think they made the right decision???
