Volleyball Team Fined For Anti-Gay Fans

Brazilian volleyball team Cruzeiro is being fined after its fans chanted homophobic taunts at the other team, which had a gay player, during a match.

The team will have to pay $30,000 because of approximately 3,000 fans’ homophobic chant directed at a player named Michael, who at the time was in the closet.

Michael came out soon after the game. As a show of support, his team wore pink shirts while warming up for a playoff game!

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME on those fans. Seriously… WTF.
