California’s governor, Jerry Brown, underwent a medical procedure on Friday to remove a cancerous growth from the right side of his nose.
Tests revealed the presence of basal cell carcinoma, which is a form of skin cancer that occurs on areas of skin frequently exposed to the sun, such as the face and neck.
Although the operation forced the governor to miss Saturday’s Democratic Convention in California’s capitol, Sacramento, fortunately all of the cancerous cells were removed.
We’re glad doctors caught the growth early and are happy to hear he is healing quickly! Feel better soon, Governor!
