High HIV Rate In Black Males Reflects Partner Choices

A new study found that gay black men’s preference for more masculine partners has caused them to have a higher HIV and AIDS rates.

Study author Jonathan Ellen, MD says that African-American men tend to prefer more masculine partners, and because of that they often times are less persistent about using a condom. The reason for this is because more masculine men are for some reason perceived as less likely to have an STD than more feminine men.

Don’t take any chances with STDs! Always wear a condom!
