Michelle Kwan took a break from being a two-time Olympic medalist and nine-time nation championship, five-time world winning figure skater this weekend for a much more romantic role – blushing bride!
The athlete reportedly married 31-year-old Clay Pell, a director for strategic planning on the White House national security staff, yesterday afternoon at the First Unitarian Church in Providence, R.I.!
Apparently, the groom is also a JAG and Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard, so he wore his full dress uniform while Kwan was walked down the aisle by her father in a Vera Wang wedding gown, all in front of 240 guests, which included other Olympic alums like Brian Boitano, Dick Button, Dorothy Hamill, and Peter Oppegard!
And get this! The ceremony included the song Fields of Gold, to which gurlfriend won a bronze-medal skating at the Salt Lake City Winter Games!
Just BEAUTIFUL!
