Last Saturday, a 5-year-old English cat named Pepper used his unusual skill of unlocking a kitchen window in his owners house to not only escape a fire started by a microwave, but alert the neighbors to call 911!

Pepper’s owner Phil White left the microwave on, while he left the house, which evidently sparked and set fire to his home.

The usually troublesome Pepper, as Phil described, used his uncanny skill of unlocking a window to crawl to safety, which allowed the smoke to escape the house and alerted neighbors to call emergency services!
