Twin White Lion Cubs Born After Emergency C-Section

How cute are these two adorable white lion cubs?

Believe it or not, these little guys almost didn’t make it.

Keepers at the Serengeti Park in Germany didn’t realize the twins’ mother, Brouks, was pregnant until a baby was found at her side, which unfortunately died 48 hours later.

Luckily for these two though, staff rushed the mother lion to the nearby Veterinary University where after a Caesarian procedure that lasted seven hours, the two cubs came out alive on December 2.

After 15 days in intensive care, the cubs Nero and Niza are now off the critical list.

And a good thing too because no white lions have been spotted in the wild since 1994!

Looks like the staff at the Serengeti National Park have already had a white Christmas.
