Well, well! Katie Holmes has a new leading man in her life!
The actress sparked plenty of romance chatter after she was spotted getting cozy with New York artist Jason Bard Yarmosky during a Hamptons film screening this past weekend — and if this sighting is any indication, these two certainly weren’t trying to hide that they enjoy each other’s company.

According to People, Katie and Yarmosky attended a July 10 screening of The Invite hosted by The Cinema Society at the Regal UA theater in East Hampton. The pair reportedly arrived hand-in-hand, immediately fueling speculation that this isn’t just a casual friendship.
But while they skipped posing together on the red carpet, it sounds like they had no problem letting their chemistry shine once they were inside. One onlooker painted an especially sweet picture of the evening, telling the mag:
“He was whispering in her ear, and she was laughing, they seemed very easy together and there was a smile on her face all night. They sat together during the movie, she had her head on his shoulder at one point. They looked very cute.”

And apparently the night didn’t end when the movie credits rolled. According to the same report from People, Katie and Jason were later spotted chatting with friends at the afterparty held at The Boat House in East Hampton. Love it!!!
Soooo who exactly is the mystery man? Yarmosky isn’t a Hollywood actor or musician. He’s an accomplished New York-based artist whose work focuses on themes like aging, memory, and the passage of time. Per People, after he graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2010, he went on to exhibit his paintings and drawings in museums around the country, including the Brooklyn Museum of Art. More recently, his portrait series Timeless Women in New York was featured in the windows of Bergdorf Goodman on Fifth Avenue, giving his artwork some VERY high-profile exposure.

As for Katie, fans have naturally been curious about her love life over the years, though she’s generally kept her relationships incredibly private. She was most recently linked to musician Bobby Wooten III in 2022 before the pair reportedly went their separate ways later that same year. Before that, she famously spent years in a relationship with Jamie Foxx following her divorce from Tom Cruise, with whom she shares daughter Suri.

But alas, whether this latest sighting marks the beginning of a new romance or simply the first time the public has caught a glimpse of an already-established relationship remains to be seen! However it turns out, the hand-holding, laughter, and affectionate moments are certainly enough to get people talking.
Meanwhile, Katie’s professional life continues to stay just as busy. She’s preparing to direct Happy Hours, a romantic dramedy that reunites her with former Dawson’s Creek costar Joshua Jackson. The longtime friends, who famously dated decades ago, premiered the film at the Tribeca Film Festival back in June.
