Outgoing Republican Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas, who leaves office next month, was often criticized for his “dog and pony show” press conferences, so that’s exactly what he had at his last press conference.
Literally, he rolled in with a Labrador retriever and a miniature horse!
The act is being dubbed as a lighthearted jab at his image, which we think is a great way to showcase his humility (and a cute miniature horse) as a politician.
That’s definitely one way to go out with a bang, Governor!
