Everyone thinks their dog is smart, but this dog is ACTUALLY smart!
Chaser, a female border collie, possesses the largest human vocabulary of any dog and can recognize the names of more than 1,022 objects.
Now that’s impressive. We don’t even know if our vocabulary is that high.
This dog is so smart, she even went to college!
As part of a three year training course at Wofford College, Chaser was introduced to the names of 1,022 toys by by psychologists Alliston Reid and John Pilley.
The pair of psychologists played fetch with each object repeatedly to reinforce the word in the dog’s mind and say here is no limit to what she can learn.
Fascinating stuff.
Maybe we’ll start training Teddy like that.
