Sanctuary Won't Let Man Visit His Elephant

David Balding and his best friend, elephant Flora, performed together in a one ring circus for 18 years.
He hasn’t seen her in five years.
He said:

“I had a dream about her that we were back in the ring and we always had this act where we’d pretend to be asleep and I’d feed her carrots. That one made me happy because it was funny. I was glad to be with her.”

We know how some elephants are treated in circuses but this is still sad for both of them.
He sent his elephant away after their years together to have a better life at a sanctuary, but now the sanctuary won’t let him see her because they fear it will cause her “stress.”
